FMTV Test Tracks
Synchro designed and built the Stewart and Stevenson, FMTV Tactical Vehicle Manufacturing Facility to manufacture vehicles for the U.S. Army on a 50 acre complex near Sealy, Texas.
 
Synchro worked with the owner and the U.S. Army to add a 1.25 mile test track that encircled various testing modules including two vertical slopes tracks and a side slope test. In addition, the existing building was completely modified to become and automated assembly line and component warehouse. A large Electrostatic Pain Building was designed to house specialty equipment and was attached to the Assembly Building.
 
A Final Preparation Building constructed at one end of the testing complex to receive, wash and finish out the approved vehicles. A 10 acre concrete storage lot was provided adjacent to the Final Preparation Building. In addition, and engineering and drafting building, designed to match the architecture of the existing office building was connect by a covered walkway.
