In 1997, the Synchro Building Corporation was contacted by BJ Services to design and build a facility that would consolidate operation from several remote location that would consolidate and alleviate crowded conditions in their existing Tomball facilities.
Synchro developed a master plan that incorporated a new Engineering Building, a new warehouse complex a heavy traffic roadway to and around the warehouse, a new test stand, and a modified detention area. In Phase 1, the first buildings that were not purely pre-engineered metal building provided a new landscape for BJ Services. The the new Engineering Building clad with plaster, aluminum trim, and green tinted glass facades was a design that was not only cost efficient, but contributed to the changing mindset of a company competing in a cyclical, and sometimes austere oil patch market.
Architectural standards for future expansion and modern ergonomics for the employee workspaces were established with the Phase 1 designs.
